Service Opportunities:
6 volunteers are needed for the Guardian Angels Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 8th, from 12 pm to 3 pm. Student helpers will be assisting/overseeing kids games. See GC for contact info if you would like to do this.
Today is Respite at First Christian Church. They need helpers who can be there for the full time, from 5:30 to 9 to be assigned to a buddy during that time. See GC for more info and for the sign up link. I'm not asking for signups on our Google doc anymore because some have been signing up on our doc but not on their website. So sign ups from now on will be through their website only.
A woman in the neighborhood of Central needs help with yard work this weekend.
Campus Ministry:
“Day In May” ~ May Crowning is Sunday, May 18th @ the CCHS Grotto! It will begin at 12:30 with the Rosary, followed by Mass at 1:00 pm and then the May Crowning immediately after Mass. The grotto committee is looking for students to be in the May Crowning procession and to "crown" the statue of Mary in this traditional event and is hoping to have each class represented with 1 or more persons. See GC to sign up.
Drama Club:
All members of the cast or crew of the fall play, student directed one acts, or spring musical are welcome to attend the first annual Drama Banquet! It will be May 12 at 6pm at the Massillon Eagles. Tickets are $20 and available in the main office. All theatre students and their families are welcome to attend. Deadline to purchase tickets is Tuesday, 5/ 6. Any questions see Dr. Ostertag.
Art:
Hey creative cru! Come celebrate the LAST art club meeting of the year today in Mrs Zahler's room! Enjoy PIZZA, a plethora of spring crafts, and the announcement of next year’s chosen leaders! Anybody is welcome, you did NOT have to attend a prior meeting to come have pizza and enjoy a nice craft with your friends. See Lexi Kerr for any questions!
Athletics:
The boys lacrosse team improved their record to 13-2 after beating Notre Dame Cathedral Latin last night 16-2. Leading scorer was Marty Mikulas with 7 goals, followed by Ricky Salvino with 6 goals. Conner Thomas, Dominic Bogdan and Patrick Sciaretti each had one goal. Assist leader Bryce Stalnaker added to his stats by providing 6 assists. Ricky Salvino, Conner Thomas, and Brock Abbott all had assists as well. Goalie Rocco Ross had several saves, and defenders Isaac Ray, John Fabek, Brock Abbott and John White caused numerous turnovers. A big congratulations goes out to Ricky Salvino who scored his 200th goal as a Crusader, bringing his total career goals to 203 and counting.
Track will have an away meet this afternoon at 4:30pm at Carrollton High School.
Softball will have a home game this evening at 5:00pm against Indian Valley.
JV Baseball will have a home game this evening at 5:00pm against Tusky Valley.
Varsity Baseball will have an away game this evening at 5:00pm against Tusky Valley.

Athletics:
Yesterday at Louisville the boys track team lost 89-47. Placing first for the Crusaders were Easton Miller, Vince Sciaretti, Grant Eberhardt, Carlos Cantera Quintero in the 4x800, Easton Miller in the 1600, Shea Donadeo in the 110 hurdles, Aidan Nasvadi in the 400, and Joanthan Stangl in the shot and discus. The girls also lost to Louisville. Placing first were Isis Hall in the 100, Isis Hall, Jade Kirby, Giada Marshall and Ellie Buckler in the 4x200, Celeste Levengood in the 800, and Alana Coy in the discus. Good Luck tomorrow at Carrollton!
The boys tennis team won their second match in a row defeating Triway 4-1. Coming up big for the Cru were singles players Luke Paul and Gavin Peters and the double team of Mason Schilling and Tommy Wolf.
Varsity Baseball beat the Massillon Tigers last night 4-0. Way to go Crusaders!

Happy Wellness Wednesday from the Healthy Heart Club! Today's wellness tip is to remember to hydrate! The weather is getting hotter, and even mild dehydration can make you feel tired and sluggish and cause headaches. Be sure to drink your water!
Athletics:
The lacrosse team lost to a tough Walsh Jesuit team last night. A highlight of the evening was goalie Rocco Ross, who had 14 saves in the game. This puts him at over 500 career saves as a Crusader - congratulations, Rocco! Ricky Salvino was leading scorer with 3 goals, followed by Marty Mikulas with 2, and Bryce Stalnaker, Conner Thomas and Dominic Bogdan with 1 apiece. Assists were provided by Grady Noggle, Bryce Stalnaker, Conner Thomas and Isaac Ray. The team plays Notre Dame Cathedral Latin at home Thursday night, with JV starting at 5:30 and varsity at 7:00 pm.
Track will have an away track meet this afternoon against Louisville.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Sound of Music. It was a wonderful weekend of
performances!
Athletics:
Congratulations to Jonathan Stangl who placed 3rd at the County Meet Saturday in the discus.
The lacrosse team battled a tough Kent Roosevelt team on Saturday, winning 11-6. This brings their season record to 12-1, and they have now won more games in a single season than any Central lacrosse team has done previously. Bryce Stalnaker had six assists, with Conner Thomas and Grady Noggle also providing assists. Marty Mikulas led the scoring with four goals, followed by Ricky Salvino with three, Conner Thomas with two, and Preston Scott and defender Brock Abbott with one goal each. Rocco Ross had an incredible 13 saves, and Isaac Ray, John Fabek, John White, and Wes Zuchegno all helped out on defense by creating some much needed turnovers. The team takes on Walsh Jesuit at home on Tuesday night at 6:00 pm.

Varsity Baseball has a home game this evening at 5:00pm against Lake.
